I'm relatively new to working on cars, I just got tired of all these moron mechanics either messing things up or trying to be slick with me. From a guy who's only been doing this for 6 months, these manuals go into so much detail, often covering things that I cannot find on google or youtube. The explanations are clear and concise, and unlike a lot of forums online, I can easily determine what's being instructed and knowing it's being done exactly to specification. Sure, there are online versions now, but I like to be able to take the book with me and have it next to me to compare the pictures to what i'm doing, without worrying about the messiness of a typical job messing up my devices. This book has paid for itself, saving me money by enabling me to do my own mechanic work.

Bought used & came better than expected. These books are worth the price in gold. We have always had one for repairs to our vehicles. I recommend having these books on hand for your cars. It’s a encyclopedia of information for your car. Even if you don’t repair them yourself. It allows you to have some idea of what may be going wrong when you take it to a repair shop. Yes, the internet can tell you these things also. Except that the book has in-depth written, photos that are precise, & car specific. Plus, if your fixing the car & your hands are greasy. Touching an expensive phone, tablet, &/or computer device will be avoided with these books.

I used this book to work on my 1994 Honda so much that it is covered in grease and a bit of blood from a broken finger when changing a tie rod, but it was well worth the purchase. I no longer have my Accord, but I still have this book, as it was a great help, so I'll eventually give it to somebody who needs it.What Haynes does really well is that they have a "questionnaire" that will help you to diagnose what is wrong with your car, and then the detailed, step-by-step instructions--that tell you what tools you will need, as Hondas have a few specialty tools that are required to work on them--make repairs easier. Torque values are included, and notes of caution are abundant so that attempted repairs do not cause you to do more harm than good, at least, not without ample warning. For the home mechanic, this is a must for this car.

I was surprised that the used Honda Accord for 1994 - 1997 Haynes Repair Manual arrived in the mail box in very good condition. It had normal wear. The pages have crisp text. It only had minimal markings on a few pages. The repair manual is very practical with detailed steps. I have the 1996 Honda Accord Service Manual, which helps supplement to provide more useful information.

Very poor quality of paper. Not color photos and very, very short. I mean... if i pay $4.95 for a 8.5x11 Magazine with all pics are in high resolution and colorful... why this book are so cheap ? For the knowledge ? Come on ! The papaer feel extremely recycling. With just a drop of water you can ruin the page. Another thing. This book is for Medium to Expert, not for normal to average users.

I am so glad that we finally decided to get this manual for our car. When something goes wrong we no longer have to spend hours online trying to figure out what the problem might be and how or if we could fix it ourselves. It takes a lot of stress and worry out of car repairs because we have the instructions and pictures showing us how to do many of the repairs ourselves and if we can't do them ourselves then we are more informed when taking our car in for repairs. It brings a sense of security when dealing with mechanics.

There's a big splash of ink in my book. I just got back home from work and I was looking through it and I found it on page 4-14. Good thing it wasn't anything than about the fuel rails.

Saved me several hundred dollars. One shop quoted way too much on an AC repair claiming that the entire dash system had to come out. Manual clearly showed it was a 1.5 hours job to replace the part by removing the glove box only. Best BS detector I ever bought. Everything else I read in this manual is gravy.

I had read and finally finished this past September Kraybill and co.'s book THE AMISH, a companion to the PBS Documentary. I would say that the PBS documentary was a companion and add-on to the BOOK, THE AMISH. The AMISH was very thorough. Kraybill mentioned briefly in the book the happening at Nickel Mines.After playing around with a few other books, nothing really satisfying, I came across Amish Grace, and saw that Kraybill had written it, and so bought it expecting what happened: a great book. Kraybill obviously wrote this book before he (and company) wrote THE AMISH. In fact, Amish Grace's appendix is a VERY condensed format of The Amish book. Enough about that book though, Amish Grace is a really good read.Reading it, some of the time I wondered if the chapter structure was too loose, as in, "Okay, I know this is in some ways, about Amish and forgiveness, but what does this have to do about Nickel Mines?" If you feel that way, know that in the end Kraybill and co. bring it around to say, "Now that you've learned this, here's how it applies to what happened at Nickel Mines." I know and have heard that there is a Lifetime movie about this incident, and I have yet to see it, and don't know if I will. If I did, it would be purely for entertainment purposes, but even then(1) Watching a movie about people who don't watch TV doesn't seem right(2) Watching a movie to be entertained through the horrible tragedy that took place at Nickel Mines also doesn't seem right.Being an evangelical Christian Pastor, I learned a lot and was edified a lot by Kraybill and co.'s deep investigation into Amish Grace and what forgiveness is as the Amish see it, and as the Bible explains it. If you are curious about the whys, the suspected hypocrisies, or even the skepticism and doubt about the Amish and their forgiveness of this horrible tragedy, Kraybill, I believe, offers satisfying answers here.If you just want to take a study into what forgiveness is, this is a great place to study. Kraybill pulls no punches too, he will list chapter and verse that the Amish go to for their understanding of forgiveness. No matter if you're a Christian or not, or if you have a soft spot, or a skeptical spot for the Amish, this book ought to re-orient your thinking when considering how to respond to tragedies. I highly recommend it, and though I bought the Kindle version, I instantly bought a physical copy so I can share it.

I'm glad I ordered and read this book. I think of it in two parts, the first part describing in detail the crime and the perpetrator's actions that day. This first part of the book is very sad and difficult to read. The second part of the book is about forgiveness, how to forgive, why the Amish were able to forgive so quickly, etc. Well worth reading since we non-Amish people probably don't know enough about the Amish ways to figure this out for ourselves.I thought the second part of the book was a little bit redundant and might have accomplished its purpose a little more succinctly

This is an exceptional book dealing with forgiveness, grace, grief, tragedy, justice, and revenge. Three very able authors (Donald B. Kraybill, Steven M. Nolt, & David L. Weaver-Zercher) bring their research and skills together to give us an account of the news-story that became even bigger than the coverage of an attack on school girls in the Amish community of Nickel Mines. "WE FORGIVE" was gently spoken by the quiet suffers, but then shouted by the media to the world. The world didn't quite understand.This book explains the difference. This book enlightens us that know too little of the communities recognized through buggies. Those of us who live close enough to frequently see the "plain folk", Amish who are often fictionalized in best sellers, now have a book opportunity to understand a bit more truth about their faith. "Amish Grace" is an eye opener as well as a gentle explanation of the Amish spirit. I suspect even the Amish community themselves will accept this honest look at their community and their ways.The book details the hideous act of the murders, but also goes further and educates the reader on some history and development of this one Pennsylvania community so violently attacked--an Amish 9-11. The final segment tries to pull together Amish and outsider reaction. Tries to compare differences. It helps find answers to media questions such as motives for the astonishingly quick forgiveness offered by the non-violent country people.This is a scholarly view of the event and aftermath. It is a religious, emotional, and intellectual look at strong faith and how that can "transcend" in times of crisis. It just may help bridge at least one chasm of bigotry--that against the Amish.I certainly gained much additional respect for those Amish willing to sacrifice for their belief. I am so glad I've read this book.

This book is a thought-provoking quasi-academic look into the concept of forgiveness using the Amish religion and an Amish school shooting as a backdrop. The book is broken into sections. The initial section that details the school shooting tragedy and what how the Amish responded is a fairly engaging (entertaining seems inappropriate) the remainder of the book is a little stuffy and sometimes repetitive but through provoking and worth reading none-the-less. I would recommend this book to anyone who is struggling to let go of long standing hard feelings or grudges or someone who wants to explore their personal spirituality. The author does a good job of using religion factually in the book without making the reader feel like they are reading a "religious" work.

Mr. Rick Steves I really hope you read this review! But I bought 3 of your books and it made our 1 year anniversary trip the absolute best!!! I loved the restaurants and tips you gave! Buy the book just for your own personal concierge and you’ll get an amazing ROI. We didn’t even know the Louvre would be free on the first Sunday of the month until we read it and that of itself made the books essentially free! Even with google maps-you can’t quite figure out what is closest to you or make a “route” of action so the map on the book was amazing to have. This was my second time to several of these cities, but I hadn’t been in 10 years and everything was different. I loved it so much!!!So, to the important information. The books are small and make sure to buy the current version so the recommendations are relevant. The book is organized well with some opening tips in the introduction. It will rank best things to see and I agree with the rankings. Maybe read this before you get to the city. Then it goes into a tour of the city or other tours of museums and such. I downloaded the audio book app, but my husband and I enjoyed just skimming it and we’re trying to be less attached to our phone. The tour section gave Great info and background on what you’re seeing. My favorite is that he gives the history of the city!!! Very great refresher if you’re trying to remember which HBO/showtime series were when and where in the cities (like the Tudors)! Jk but still helpful. We paid for a few tours so we didn’t have to mess with paying for transportation and making our own itinerary because we had limited time (and the means). But reading Rick Steves’ tours have us a base to better enjoy our paid tours. Then it touches on some sights. Same great info. Next is sleeping, I wish I had bought the boom before we planned hotels-we thought we did good research but we obviously didn’t on a few occasions. Then it goes to eating. FANTASTIC RECOMMENDATIONS with useful information to pick what you want. They are listed by what area of town you are in which is very helpful. *Rick- I would like you to rank local cuisine foods with your triangle system as well. And I think you need to include “nightlife/bars/pubs/happy hours” which he kind of does but it is not a separate section/color by area. And a list of popular local drinks, breweries, etc. I know that won’t appeal to everyone, but I would have liked some expert advice on those things. Last are practicalities which was an excellent resource. Helps with transport and just general things you should know. And it has some common phrases in each language-definite life saver! And then you get and EXCELLENT fold out map.Book is small and light weight (maybe the size of an 8x5 photo). Easy to fit in a back pack pocket (it even fit in my coat pocket). Good size font and easy to use as a resource. You’d be crazy not to buy this for your trip because it will pay off.Rick-if you’re ever up for a vacation together I bet you would be a blast!!!

This is a great book that I bought in conjunction with the England DVD and full London guidebook by Rick Steves, Of all three, this was perhaps the least useful to me. The DVD gave me the main ideas of what I wanted to do during my 10 day London vacation, and the full guidebook helped me plan out all the details. The pocket guide, while a nice colorful little book, was not really needed. I didn't even take it with me to London, and just took the full guidebook instead. The one part of the pocket guide I did take and use constantly during my trip was the tear out map in the back of the guide. This alone was worth the price of the book. I loved it not only for the street map, but also for the tube map on the back. The only thing to note is that it is more of a major streets only map, and when I needed a more detailed street map, I had to pull out my London Streetwise map that I had purchased separately.

As a first-time traveler to London, I found this book full of great information. I loved that it was small enough to put in my purse so I could carry it with me during my vacation. I used it a lot! The pull out map was a wonderful reference and easy to use. Without this book, I wouldn't have known where to start. With only 2.5 days in London, this book really helped me plan what I wanted to see and how to easily get around. I plan to buy the corresponding book for any new city that I decide to visit! I highly recommend this book!

Good enough for a short trip. It hits the major sights in Central London and the Pocket London is much handier than his full-size guides. The detachable map in the back was helpful and it includes a Tube map for Zone 1.If you plan to spend more than 2 days in London, I would recommend getting Rick Steves' London instead of Rick Steves' Pocket London.

Can never go wrong with a Rick Steves book. They are informative, always have great travel tips and exciting new suggestions to try while traveling. We purchase one for each new place we travel too.

Went to city of London for one week and felt I should take along a travel book. Thought there would be plenty of great ones given the Olympics this past summer, but was somewhat disappointed. Tried this book and found it very helpful (and I saw other tourists with it as well). I love that it was compact and not too heavy so we could throw it in our daypack and be off. There is so much to do in the city, this helped us prioritize our interests. If we weren't sure about an attraction, we checked what Rick said. (Three triangles and we went!), although we went other places off of his walking tours based on our interests. The only disagreement I had with his two triangle recommendations - we went to a play at the Globe theater. My husband, not a Shakespeare fan, thought it was the best thing we did all week long, and for only 5 pounds/ticket (we were groundlings to experience it fully). Wish it would have had a little more about shopping (because that's my thing) but it did give me a good start in the Oxford/Regent St areas, and a little more about restaurants (but nothing that TripAdvisor couldn't help us with). The pull out map in the back was our favorite feature.

I have the chance to visit Shanghai Disneyland in a few months and was searching for a book that would give me all of the details of the park. I found this and one other e-book, and I bought both. I really like this book because it walks you through each land, attraction, and the shopping and dining options, with a brief review of both resort hotels. It was quick to read, and I enjoyed the author's prose. It is a perfect introduction to the park. The one downside of the book is that the author didn't include information on creating a good touring plan or provide sample plans for 1 day, 2 days and so on. This information is hard to find, but I understand that this book was written after a single visit to the park. It's probably impossible to create a suggested plan under those circumstances. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is beginning their Shanghai Disneyland trip planning and wants a quick and easy book to read in advance.

This book was fantastic! Such great detail. It made me even more excited for my upcoming trip to Shanghai Disney!!

I can't find adequate words to describe how I feel after I finished this book. But of course, I'll try! This collection was very moving. It started a little slow but I appreciated the build up; the wind-up from "inception" to "epiphany." I loved the metaphor in that. Our lives start out somewhat slowly in the beginning, and something, or someone, pushes us into this path of longing, and brings chaos into our world, and before we know it, we are lost in our own creation, our own madness, our own lives that we don't recognize who we are....until we've reached an "a-ha" moment; the epiphany that we own our life.I had several favorites in this collection. I had several that made me tear up and push aside; triggering and haunting as they were. Several more poems that I couldn't believe simple words strung together would invoke such passion from the author, that as the reader, I'm sure I blushed several times.Beautiful read for those who want to understand why there is this chaos (in) longing.

Very sad, but relatable all at the same time. It is truly a remarkable book for it allows me to reminisce on my past love life where my feelings took control of my emotions and actions for someone that I fell hard for. It's tough to read this book without crying because her words are so powerful when she talks about her relationship. If anyone is waiting for someone to love them back, you should definitely read this because it helps you realize what you really deserve. Also, I received this book, and it was not used at all. It looked brand new as if I bought it in Barnes and Noble! Thank you!

The poems are very moving and intimate. I purchased this on a whim. I didn't really know what I was expecting from the book, but I was hooked and finished half of the book the same day it arrived. (I'm yet to finish.) Surely, there will be a 2nd time I open this book, and I'll take my time reading it. Surprisingly, the book arrived in excellent condition despite being packed with 2 hardcover books, and an equally small, paper-covered book.

Wow I'm speechless! I loved every last one of the poems in this book. This book embodies the feelings of every human that has experienced love, hurt, and rejection. Hope you don't sleep on this book because it's great.

A young poet comes of age, and reaches a level of self-awareness and maturity in exploring themes of love, longing and at times the yearning of unrequited romance, in “the chaos of longing”. This is an intense beautifully written volume of poetry by K.Y. Robinson. Ms. Robinson holds a B.A. in journalism and a M.A. in history from Texas Southern University and is based in Houston, Texas.In her introductory poem: “1.7.93”- Ms. Robinson describes a “cocoa brown” hunchback teen, who “swallowed poetry” in those days, without considering heaven or hell. A tragic event happened to her around this time, which she detailed in this poem. This event undoubtedly colored and affected her life in unexpected ways. This was the only concrete biographical poem in the book-- in addition to “deferred” where her mother and father’s attitudes were mentioned, her father turning to drink, also “faada” and “mother’s nature” were briefly added. The theme of mental illness which influenced Ms. Robinson’s life are explored in: “magic” - “faithless” – “manic depression” - “stigma and shame”.The next part is “longing”: the titles of the poems are quite revelatory and erotic. Opening with the poem “melanin” love at first sight and the dreams that follow, easing into “naked thoughts” of desire to be a one and only. The explanatory nature of “fellatio” – “electric bodies” – “beautiful stranger” – the poem “uncensored” unfolds on the page: “thrust in your eyes/against my pages/repent with me/ in unison/until you surrender/to loves doctrine”. The writer emerges with “the grace of a pen” and the splendor of (unrecognized) words in “muse”-- also the composition of love in “poetry” and “poetry ii”.The poems are more reflective with the thrill and satisfaction of a romantic connection. There remains the slight of uncertainty regarding the progression of a serious commitment-- in “smitten” – “path” – “entrails” –“the good guy” – “one wish” – “tone deaf” – “nocturnal melody”. With “chaos” the poems related to unavailable men, “resentment” – “shameless” – “when you met Laura” – “tunnel vision” - “in another life” – in “alchemy” it become known that only the dark side of his leaded heart was felt, as it was with someone else. With the final theme of “epiphany” there was a simple poetic wisdom in learning from mistakes, with the journey of “self -love ii” also “the galaxy is yours” that celebrated the wonder of life. ~ Special thanks to the author via Amazon for the direct digital copy for the purpose of review.

I am not going to say I connected with every one of these poems. For some of them, I really don’t feel I’m the intended audience (which is totally fine and I hope they reach the people they’d really speak to!), but at the same time there were some that hit me so hard that tears came to my eyes. If that’s not a resounding endorsement, I don’t know what is. Robinson really has a handle on her voice.

I need more! K.Y. Robinson has crafted a gorgeous, emotional, deeply personal collection of poetry that will stick with me for a very long time.This collection is divided into four parts (Inception, Longing, Chaos, Epiphany) and it read like a journey from childhood to now, from pain and being lost (and the repercussions of that) to self-love. I have rarely said that a book "punched me in the feels," but this one did. That's the best way I can concisely describe how this book made me feel. But, it was also the balm that soothed the pain, in the end.This book was so beautiful and inspiring, and I feel like I read it at exactly the right time. I've already been recommending it to people, and I'm sure I'll continue to do so. (Consider this me recommending it to you if you're considering reading it!)

This book shocked me. I knew it was about the negative aspects of love but it opened my eyes even further to the misconduct of men on females. I wish she finds love and that she never let's another man take her on a journey such as she has faced in the past.

What's not to love about a shifter romance with fated mates as the main characters? Add the world building of another planet, the action of warring factions, and the smexiness of cats in heat and it's a winner in my book. If you love your shifters sexy, your romance hot, and your stories with page-turning action, then this book is definitely one you'll enjoy. And the added bonus--if you need one--it's the first in a new series from these two authors!

The plot was intriguing and the characters would have been, as well, had they been fleshed out better. Unfortunately, the characters were too one dimensional to grab me and the writing just didn't flow well. My mind kept wandering as I was trying to follow the story. It just seemed disjointed and was missing something. I gave it two and a half stars because I didn't hate it and because it did have promise, if the writing had been more fluid and the characters had had more depth. I doubt I'll try the next book in this series.

HEA romances mean boy and girl get together, but it's the adventure in how that gets me. This has enough action for to read thru the "mushy" part and look forward to the next book :)

I love escapist fiction and this really took me for a ride. Love the heat, love the steam, love the characters, love the action. After a long day at work, it was so fun to curl up with this story and just disappear into it. Can't wait for more!

Y'all, I'm a sucker for any romance that has a 'mate' premise, so I went into this with high expectations. I liked Maya and Herc, and loved the fact this book gives us steam with a healthy dose of plot. Also, Herc and his pack...Now *my* heart is in all kinds of trouble. Looking forward to book 2
