I might give it less stars if I knew more about the industry. The book is too elementary and does not grab you and shake you saying "this is important!" on some items that really are important. I am returning it. I also bought the book How to Make it in Music by Ari Herstand at same time. Ari's is definitely much better. MUCH.
A very complete and realistic overview of every step of the business from the start. The author has a detailed explanation to argument every action in the process.Recomended for DIY/independent artist to make a smart use of resources suited for their current situation
This book was extremely easy to understand. I wouldn't consider myself a music dummy, but this really helped me understand how to market myself as a musician, brand, set up a website, etc. I recommend it to everyone that wants to self-promote.
