When I bought my copy of Mastering the Art of Sous Vide: Unlock the Versatility of Precision Temperature Cooking I didnt think it would be much more than support of a chef that I have been following on social media for a number of years. I have a collection of his recipes on speed search for bragging to acquaintances and passing on to friends. I received my copy and started reading through it and realized how informative it is for a cooking style I have never tried. Tips and tricks that Justice passes on are very appreciative for the home cook. When I started reading through the recipes with mouth watering pictures...oh boy...I think I might be inspired to try the sous vide method of cooking. The recipes are easy to follow which is a blessing to us regular cooks. I think this book would be a valuable asset to any cooking library you have. Thanks Chef Justice. I look forward to following you to your next chapter.

I thoroughly enjoyed this cook book. The photography is very well done and there’s quite a variety of recipes, and tips if you’re new to sous vide. Some of the recipes feature ingredients I’ve never heard of, and some I know I wouldn’t be able to find locally. But these recipes also offer alternatives to those ingredients which is nice. Admittedly my palette is probably not refined enough to truly appreciate some of these I will be trying out quite a few.It’s not pretentious and the recipes are easily understood. Some cook books expect people to know things they learned years ago in culinary school but I didn’t see that here, more like a friend just trying to help me out and make something tasty.

So excited to receive this book. I can't believe all the amazing recipes this has. My wife just found the Fejoada recipe. Her Brazilian aunt makes this and we are excited to try it sous vide style. I bought it hoping to support a fellow sous vide nerd, but i'm blown away at the recipes and the quality if the book. Sous vide nerds buy this book!

Let me start off by saying: I'm not a chef by any stretch of the imagination. I got into sous vide last year and was immediately hooked by how easy it is to turn out an amazing meal with just a little planning.This promises to be an excellent, and helpful, cookbook. Definitely what I needed to up my sous vide game. The photos are breathtaking, and the recipes that I've had a chance to look at sound amazing.I'm getting a kick out of the chapter titles as well, I've always been a sucker for alliteration.Looking forward to working my way through this book, and definitely hope to see more published.

It is a nice cookbook and I like the general cooking time chart but these are way more fancier that my family would eat. One recipe is veal tongue. If you like fancy food and are not picky, this would be a great book. But if you are looking for more family meals, I would buy something different.

If I could give this book more stars I would! I am a former instructor of Culinary Arts. We have used may book in training students to become chefs. Mastering the Art of Sous Vide is very well written and has easy to follow recipes along with images. It also give you instructions and tips to help you learn with ease. I highly recommend this book for home cooks and chefs who are learning the art of sous vide.

This book takes the mystery out of Sous Vide cooking! Great photos and recipes that you might not have thought you can do using the Sous Vide cooking method. Justice Stewart is a master of creating high end, gourmet recipes and adapting them to home kitchens. A time and temperature chart is super helpful too!
