The illustrations are dreamy but the text is PAINFUL. The story starts off alright, but takes a turn. It's short and choppy and hard to relate the text to the movie. And if you haven't seen the movie, it's the text is even worse. Wall-e is a beautiful story. Little golden books are classics. What a wasted opportunity this was to combine the two.
My toddler loves this book. He adores Wall-E and could read this book every day. However, my husband and I aren't the biggest fans of it. It really skips over the whole point of the movie and generally feels like it was written by someone who only watched the trailer. Wish they'd written it better.
I purchased this book for a baby shower where it was requested that we bring a book instead of a card. I was estatic to see that this book would have cost about the same as a greeting card. Besides being economical, the story and artwork is really cute. Who doesn't love Wall-E? I love that Little Golden Book has updated their library with more recent titles. I grew up with the classics and still love them, but am thrilled about the contemporary additions as well.
Pretty mediocre version of Wall-E. I know they need to simplify these movies down to a few pages, but this is pretty weak.
Excellent abridged version. Has all the important parts of the story. The last page is very sweet. It has Wall-E and Eve holding their hands , and every time I read it, my daughter shows me how to hold hands.
The book itself was in beautiful condition. It came on time. The negative is that it is a very shortened version of the movie and is not satisfying to read at all.
I've loved Little Golden Books since I was little and that was a REALLY long time ago! They used to cost 25 cents! Wow, have things changed! But what hasn't changed is the quality of the books and the care with which they are produced! These are wonderful to read to your children and as they grow, they can learn the words and read it themselves!My little one LOVES Wall-e and was really happy to get this book!
Bought for my 3 year old. I really enjoy this book. Not too wordy for a little one, nice experience to read and look through.
